“My name is Jason and I was a client of the Heritage Treatment Foundation staff for three months. The care and treatment I received from the clinical staff was outstanding. "
““t took a lot for me to first admit that I had a problem and second to do something about it. When I arrived I had a warm welcome from Catherine and knew that the staff was there to help "
““I had used drugs since the age of 13. When I arrived at the Centre I had just overdosed on Oxycontin. The staff here never gave up. I started to feel better and better. The staff were like a family.
“The staff were all amazing people. Having worked together for a number of years, the staff knew all their strengths and how their particular areas of expertise complimented each other."
“My daughter was a client of Catherine’s and her outstanding team of addiction treatment professionals. The key word here is “professional. My daughter has been sober for almost a year. .”
Catherine and her staff of psychotherapists Karen, Laurie and nurse Nana, as well as all office and cooking staff, are all great people and I got the feeling they really cared about me
Connected to the REM and a hub for South Shore bus lines, Panama is a great for those that will be connecting with us by public transit.
To get to Terminus Panama in Brossard via the REM (Réseau express métropolitain), follow these steps:
Travel to a REM station: The REM provides service from Montreal's Central Station to Brossard. The line connecting the South Shore to Central Station is already in service (Bienvenue à bord du REM) (Wikipedia).
Ride the REM to Panama Station: Board the REM train on the South Shore line and get off at Panama Station. This station is located in Brossard and is part of the initial segment of the REM that has been operational since July 2023 (Bienvenue à bord du REM).
Connecting Bus Services: Panama Station features a major bus terminal with 30 platforms, serving 37 bus lines from the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) and exo bus networks. This makes it easy to continue your journey to various destinations in the area (Bienvenue à bord du REM) (Wikipedia).
Fare Information: For traveling within the zones covered by the REM, including Zone A (Montreal) and Zone B (Longueuil), you can purchase tickets that cover multiple transit modes (REM, bus, metro, and train). For example, a single trip ticket between zones A and B costs $4.50, while a monthly pass costs $155 (Bienvenue à bord du REM).
For detailed schedules and additional information about bus connections, you can visit the REM official website and the RTL website.
CThough Panama is a great transit hub, parking is limited and there is a lot of activity. We offer pickups from the nearby Champlain Mall as there is usually plenty of space in the parking lot next to Mayrand. For those being dropped off by car friends and family, it is still very accessible but would provide a more relaxed place to say goodbyes.
Coming from Montreal: Take the A-15 South and continue over the Champlain Bridge. You will be taking the first exit, so you can stay in the right-most available lane, the far-right lane is reserved for emergencies. Once you’ve crossed the bridge, stay to your right while taking the first exit. You will loop around heading back towards the bridge.
You will merge onto the service road, to continue under the bridge, again staying in the right-most lane once on the service road. Your turn is coming up right after the gas station. Turn right on to Provencher (watch out for the pothole) and continue straight past the school zone and park. When you come to the traffic light continue straight, you will see the Champlain Mall and you can enter the parking lot on your right just after the intersection.
